B2B Multi-Tenant SaaS · In development
Property Management SaaS
Backend for a B2B multi-tenant property-management platform, currently in development. Screens and code are private until launch.
My role: Backend Developer at W.A. Management & Consulting (Remote, United States). Responsible for the backend.
Overview
A B2B platform for property-management companies. Each company signs up on its own, gets a private workspace, sets up its legal entities, portfolios and properties, invites its team and follows a guided checklist to go live.
The product is built module by module. The multi-tenant foundation is complete, and the platform's own subscription billing, which charges each company through Stripe, is close to complete. Leasing, residents and maintenance come in later modules.
Key Features
- Self-serve sign-up that creates a private workspace for each company
- Legal entities, portfolios and properties, set up from ready-made structure templates
- Team invitations with eight built-in roles, plus custom roles
- Guided setup checklist with a readiness score before going live
- Subscription plans with usage limits, self-serve checkout and an operator console for invoicing and collections
What I Built
- TypeScript API and background worker on Bun and Hono, with Next.js apps in a Turborepo monorepo.
- PostgreSQL with schema-per-tenant isolation, so each customer's data lives in its own schema; Redis for caching, rate limiting, background jobs and OTP codes.
- Payments module built on Stripe: checkout with verified webhooks, invoicing, proration, tax, retries, refunds and disputes.
- Transactional outbox so payment events are written with the data they belong to and delivered reliably.
- Role-based access and plan entitlements cached in Redis, so each customer only gets the features their plan includes.
